BUCS 1 - A Record Breaking Performance

Last weekend, the KCL Taekwondo team embarked on an exhilarating journey to the enigmatic and challenging realm of Twickenham. Here, were showcased our prowess against the elite at the first British University Championship competition of the academic year. This event marked a significant milestone for KCL, with an impressive 46 entries in a single day—a remarkable leap from the participation numbers we boasted just a year ago!

The pride we feel for our athletes is immense. Each competitor demonstrated an extraordinary blend of passion, skill, and, above all, teamwork. The unity and support displayed by our team were truly inspiring, making for some very proud captains. Our athletes shone brightly as a cohesive unit, and the camaraderie was noticeable throughout the weekend's events.

A special acknowledgment goes out to our dedicated club coaches: Master Suj, Master Hanna, and Master Stephen. Their guidance was invaluable. Additionally, our student coaches—Jordan, Ayah, Andro, Salim, Shivani, Mia, and the MVC Ahmad—played a crucial role. Despite not being able to compete himself, Ahmad emerged as a standout team member, coaching numerous athletes to victory and serving as a phenomenal motivator for the entire squad. Thank you, Ahmad, for your unwavering support!
